This is hands-down my favorite album of the 's. It is categorized by some as M-BASE, but really transcends that genre. One of its major achievements is the constantly moving beat - Cassandra's vocal lines challenge what the other musicians are doing, and moves the beat in odd directions/5(2).

And some of the slower tunes, such as "Days Aweigh," also have intriguing melodies. Finally, Wilson's voice does many odd things that perk my attention. I've listened to some of Wilson's post albums, and I think her voice is most unique in her earlier albums. So basically, if you're a fan of advanced jazz, you should get this album right away.
